Last month I did a photo shoot for the new Jazz album of Udo Pannekeet, titled "On". I shot several portraits in a old cafe in the Zuiderzee museum. Click here to see some more photos of that day.
Waves
It was another beautiful day so Arjan and I decided to take a lunchbreak walk at Palace Het Loo. There is also this beautiful fence, of which I took a photo exactly a year ago and that was my invite to Getty Images and also my most selling photo. This one is not that great but I like the lines, curves and shadows.
Tuffy
When Marit had her seventh birthday she got a little russian dwarf hamster that she gave the name Tuffy. She and Tuffy were best friends and she played with him every day for the past two years. But in the past months we sometimes told her that the life expectancy of this kind of hamster was 1.5 to 2 years so she was a little prepared. Her response was always that she was taking such good care of him that he would become the oldest hamster known to men.
Last week Tuffy was a little more nervous than before and sometimes running in circles and just looked old. So I talked with Marit about it and she also saw it and knew what was happening. But at the end of the week he was more his old self, very active, the whole evening he was climbing through his cage. But this Saturday morning early we were woken by a crying Marit...
Tuffy, rest in peace and thanks for being such a great friend for my little girl.
Visiting Grandma
Last weekend we visited my grandma, who is already 86. She made some delicious cake for us and we talked a lot. Marit & Viggo also played around the house and continued with some of the puzzles my grandma was solving. Here are some photographs from that day.

Today Adobe released the Release Candidate of Lightroom 4.4 beta to the public. I was for a long time waiting on this release because of the much improved RAW support for the FUJIFILM X-Pro1. In the previous versions the RAW support was nor very good and the jpg's from the camera gave a better result then the RAW's from Lightroom.
But FujiFilm supplied Adobe with all the specs of the X-Trans CMOS sensor and it looks like it paid off, because from the little testing I've done so far I do see an improvement. Will do some more testing / developing in the coming days.
