April 2012

This was another busy photography month for me. I started with shooting the NEX-7 everyday and after selling my X100 a few months back I realized I really missed the quiet operation and the handling and feel (a sign of things to come). So this month I bought a limited edition X100 kit in a wooden case with leather case and flash.

A daylight long exposure of a water statue in the center of Apeldoorn with a ND110 filter on the Fuji FinePix X100. I didn't have a tripod with me so I had to keep the camera steady against a post for 10 seconds., April 14, 2012.

Last month I read about a photowalk in the old leatherfactory in Oisterwijk so I signed up and in on April 21 I drove to Oisterwijk and joined a group of about 40 other photographers and roamed the abandoned buildings. I used my tripod most of the time and did a lot of multiple exposures so I could use Nik HDR Efex Pro to process the photos.

June 2012

At the beginning of June we had a daytrip with the photoclub to the railroad museum in Utrecht.

It had been on my mind for quite some time, but at the end of June I decided to sell my Sony gear because I didn't like the feel of the NEX-7 anymore, too much computer and not enough feel. I decided to use the X100 and a compact for the summer (and bought a MacBook Pro Retina) and after the holidays do research and make up my mind for a camera system that I did like. But that story continues in Q3.
